What a day

Gorgeous Southern California weather today. Sunny and about 78 degrees. Great beach weather.

Being that it is Saturday we have some moving jobs. Once move is our office movers Tarzana doing business moving to Encino for a dentist Matt. We also have our apartment movers Calabasas doing a townhome move to Westlake Village consisting of 1 truck and 2 men. Also we have our apartment movers Calabasas doing a moving to Oak Park. And also we have a follow up loading of a POD with our Encino movers.

If we could package and sell this good weather we could make a mint.

Movers Seeking Moving Work Every Day

It seems almost every day now we have highly experienced movers coming in and looking to get on our work list. The feedback we get is that lots or movers are slow. Fortunately we do a fair amount of office moving and that helps keep us somewhat busy. Also since we have been in business since 1993 and have an "AA" rating with the BBB, we get a fair amount of repeat and referral business. That said, it's still slower than normal due to the slow housing market. People simply aren't buying and selling homes.

It's definitely time for a change at the top in November and then in January. Optimism fuels speculation, and until that change happens, optimism may remain somewhat in check. But as that inevitability approaches, I think that optimism may resurface.

Still doing moving estimates and movers quotes everyday, including moving services in Reseda, Granada Hills, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica and Tarzana among others.

Hey all - today we had a packing job where a customer had our movers in Encino to pack pictures, mirror and other breakable items. It's estimated our movers and packers Encino will be there about 6-8 hours. Overall still kind of slow. Even the online leads services aren't producing too many leads. Hopefully with arrival of spring we will have more actual work.

We still have plenty of quotes, including today Belair to Beverly Hills, Glendale to Pacific Palisades, and Century City to Santa Monica among other moves.

Spring just around the corner

Well, winter is almost over. Our movers Los Angeles are ready for spring. Still kinda slow. But I think that's with all Los Angeles moving companies. Almost daily we have drivers and movers coming in looking for work.

Hopefully with spring around the corner the whole economy starts to pick up.

Yesterday our Winnetka movers did moving to Woodland Hills. Then today we did a moving company Canoga Park job that was done by our movers to Canoga Park also. At the last minute one of our Simi Valley office movers accounts called us up to move files and boxes around the office.

We are doing lots of moving quotes and the following moving estimates: Calabasas to Woodland Hills, Chatsworth to Malibu, Beverly Hills to Beverly Hills, and a number of office movers Los Angeles moving quotes.

Website doing well

The new and improved website - www.abcmovingsystems.com - is doing well these days and ranking well for searches such as "movers los angeles" and other search querries. The problem is, overall the moving business is kind of slow. It's like having a top rated ice cream shop in Alaska in December. If no one is buying ice cream, it does not matter how well rated your ice cream shop is.

Right now, we have movers coming thru the shop everyday telling us how slow it is at all the other moving companies in Los Angeles.

Yesterday we did a small move for a customer Carol for moving from Simi Valley to Camarillo. A small move from her rental home but the Camarillo home was very high end. Anyways, we are still doing a fair amount of moving quotes everyday in Woodland Hills, Chatsworth, Simi Valley, etc.

Anyways, some of the work we did last weekend. Overall still a little slow. On Thursday thru Sunday our ABC Movers Hidden Hills did a 4 day local household moving job to Moorpark. It was full packing and moving, the customer was very impressed at how careful, quick and efficient our moving crew was. We also did an office move from Torrance to Laguna Hills. We kind of got burned on another move over the weekend. We booked moving from Malibu to Beverly Hills, a full pack on Sunday and the moving on Monday, but when we showed up on Sunday the customer said he changed his mind. We wish he would have at least given us a courtesy phone call. Anyways, things were pretty slow the last month, but finally at least we are starting to get more moving leads not only thru our leads services, but also thru our own website www.abcmovingsystems.com. Luckily we have been in business since 1993, are "AA" rated by the Better Business Bureau, so at least we are getting our fair share of the moving work that is out there.

Moving week of 3/8 to 3/14/08

Here is some of the moving and movers work from this last week. Overall the moving work is somewhat slow. Luckily we have been in business since 1993 and a good portion of our moving is repeat and referral business. Also, ABC Moving is an expert at office moving and our business movers are the best in the area. As such, our office movers stay pretty busy with business moving.



Starting next week we will try to do a daily blog. We will see what we have time for.



This week included account work for one of our office moving accounts. The business moving involved office moving from Simi Valley to Simi Valley. The same day our packers Encino did work for a moving customer Maria in Encino. She just had us come in and pack cartons using our packing materials. She didn't actually have our movers in Encino do any moving, but just the packing work.

Then we had a customer who was looking for a Bell Canyon moving company to move an armoire from the first floor in her house to the second floor. This is called an "on premise move" and we told her if we could NOT do it (because the piece might be too big to move) then we would only charge a 1 hour minimum. If we COULD do it then the move would be a 2 hour minimum. Naturally, our movers in Bell Canyon were able to take care of her moving needs and she was completely satisfied.

That same day we did a move where our customer Judith wanted us to dispose of a 435 pound safe. The safe moving in Studio City was done by our Studio City movers and actually we were able to move the safe to a customer that was looking for a safe. Everybody wins, and we don't have to fill up a landfill.

Then we began a 3 day move for a customer that wanted our Hidden Hills movers to do a full packing and moving service from Hidden Hills to Moorpark. The customer asked us if we could do the moving and packing in Hidden Hills for a specific price. We sharpened our pencils, cut a little here, cut a little there and did the 3 day pack and move for a binding, firm price. Then we sent our top notch movers to do the work and actually we were able to come in under budget, AND provide our Moorpark moving customer with a top moving crew. A nice job to finish off the week, the customer was happy, the moving came in under budget, everyone wins. See you later. ABC Moving and Movers.

Moving week of 3/2 to 3/8/08

Here is some of the moving work we did during the last week.

We started off by doing some more work for a large office move from Calabasas to Agoura Hills. Actually, our business movers took a load of unneeded office furniture and items to the dump for disposal per our customer request. We also did a last minute office move to household move for a customer from Long Beach to Laguna Beach.

The next day ABC Movers / Moving did a local office move for the Holland Opus Foundation. Their move went from Sherman Oaks to Sherman Oaks. Later in the week we did another office move for America's Builder, D.R. Horton. In fact we did a couple of days of moving with with them with our movers. Our movers in Simi Valley took some items back and forth from storage.

We also did moving for another office moving client, from Glendale to Glendale. Then we did a townhouse move for a customer from Thousand Oaks to Thousand Oaks. Then our local office movers in Calabasas did some more office moving work for one of our business account customers. The moving was a continuation of work from earlier in the week and went from Calabasas to Agoura Hills.

The next day we did moving for a household customer and the move went from a home in West Hills to another home in West Hills.

During the course of the week we also did some smaller apartment moving work in Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Chatsworth and Northridge.

Moving work week of 2/24/08 to 3/1/08

We will try to start highlighting some of our weekly moving work.

Last week started with an apartment move from Woodland Hills to Thousand Oaks. We did full packing the day before. We also did a residential move from Studio City to Studio City. We also did a fairly large 3 day office move from Calabasas to Agoura Hills. Mixed in with that we did a couple of office moves for a business account of ours. ABC Office Movers also did another office move from Culver City to Culver City.

Towards the end of the week we did some household moves including a move from Chatsworth to Camarillo. We also did a full pack and move from Oxnard to Newport Beach. The same day our movers were in Simi Valley and moved some customers just a few miles away.
